We can repair, resize and alter all types of jewellery. Whether you have snapped your chain, are missing a gemstone or your rings no longer fit, the skilled teams at our workshops are masters at bringing your jewellery back to life using traditional and modern laser techniques. There are also a number of repairs that we can do in store, such as: clasp replacements, rhodium plating and jewellery re-stringing.

Jewellery Cleaning, Polishing & Rhodium Plating

Let us give your jewellery some TLC. Each piece that is cleaned is looked over by one of our team to check any gemstones and settings are all secure and in tact. Your item is then professionally cleaned.

We also offer a wide range of jewellery repairs and restoration services. Whether you have a loose or missing stone, have a missing claw, or have a broken band our expert workshops are on hand to help you.

Pearl Re-Threading & Bracelet Re-Stringing

Renew the beauty of your pearl necklace or bracelet with our expert rethreading service. Enquire in-store for a quote and let us restore your precious pearls to their former glory. We can also re-string beaded bracelets.

Rhodium-Plating

If your white gold rings are starting to appear a little yellow, it may be time to re-rhodium plate them. Unlike other places that use 'flash-plating', we make sure to re-plate your ring to highest quality possible.

Watch Repairs

At Strange the Jewellers we understand the value and sentimentality of every watch. Whether it's vintage, contemporary, automatic, mechanical or quart, we are here to assist you with any watch queries. We can complete a number of watch repairs in store. This includes watch battery replacements, watch bracelet adjustments and watch cleaning.

We also work with a small team of specialist horologists that are approved members of the British Horological Institute and Company of Master Jewellers. They have full accreditation for Rolex, Tag, Breitling, Cartier and Omega, and have a BA Hons in Horology. They are extremely passionate about watches, and will give you a 2 year guarantee on all work completed - this is double the industry standard.

Specialist Watch Repairs

For all specialist watch repairs, we will need to take your watch to our horologists and let them asses your watch. They will them give us an estimate for the work that needs doing.

The battery is replaced and the watch is pressure tested to manufactures specification.

This is one of those shops that understands 'customer service'...I bought a gold bracelet for my wife's birthday which needed to be made smaller and I needed it for a week's time as we were going away. They promised it for Thursday. I got a call 2 hours later saying the owner (Jason?) had gone to work shop and it was ready for collection now .. Strange The Jewellers offer a jewellery cleaning service which is superb. I have lost a diamond in a ring before trying to clean my own jewellery so don’t like to clean my engagement and wedding rings myself. They always come back looking like new and super-sparkly!
We bought my wedding ring from this jewellers and they were very helpful in picking out something suitable that matched my vintage engagement ring. We went for a half-eternity platinum ring and have been delighted with it. Highly recommended.
